Top Curator at the Opening of the IHME Project
Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev and Susan Philipsz in a public event on March 11

Pro Arte Foundation Finland has invited the esteemed Italian-American curator Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev to Helsinki. Christov-Bakargiev will take part in the launch of Susan Philipsz´ IHME-project.

The event is open to the public and will take place on Thursday March 11 at 5 pm at the VR auditorium (Rautatientori 1 C). Christov-Bakargiev will especially discuss with Philipsz the artist´s new sound work for the Helsinki Central Railway Station, When Day Closes.

Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev is the artistic director of the next documenta in Kassel. She is well acquainted with Susan Philipsz´ work and has followed her career over a long period of time. She was chief curator of the 2008 Binnale of Sydney, where she invited also Philipsz.

The event will be held in English and there is no admission fee.
